Terms and Conditions

1. Payment
1.1 Payment must be made by bank transfer before the first session of each month.
1.2 Payment must be made for the whole month in advance. For example, if there are 4 sessions in a month, the payment for all 4 sessions must be made upfront.
1.3 Bank transfer details are as follows:

2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
2.2 If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the session fee will still be charged.
2.3 If a session needs to be cancelled, every effort will be made to find an alternative time that works for both the tutor and the student.
2.4 In cases of emergency or unforeseen circumstances, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling.

3. Lateness
3.1 If a student is late to a lesson without an obvious reason, I will wait for 15 minutes before logging off.
3.2 Within the first 10 minutes of the student being late, I will message the parent or guardian to send a reminder.

4. Safeguarding
4.1 Any safeguarding issues that arise will be promptly reported to the student's parent or guardian.
4.2 All sessions will be conducted in a professional and safe environment to ensure the well-being of the student.

5. Confidentiality and Personal Information
5.1 Communication with the parent or guardian of the student will be via WhatsApp or email, according to their preference.
5.2 Direct communication with the student is allowed only if agreed upon by the parent or guardian.
5.3 I am also willing to be part of a WhatsApp group with both the parent and student if desired.
5.4 Personal information held will include the student's and parent's/guardian's name, email address, and contact telephone number.
5.5 This personal information will not be shared with any third parties without explicit consent from the parent or guardian.
5.6 All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.

6. Non-Refundable Sessions
6.1 All tutoring sessions are non-refundable.
6.2 Once payment is made for the month, no refunds will be provided for any missed or cancelled sessions, except in the case of a session cancelled by the tutor.

7. General Terms
7.1 These terms and conditions are subject to change with notice. Any updates will be communicated to the parent or guardian promptly.
7.2 By engaging in tutoring services, the parent or guardian agrees to these terms and conditions.
7.3 Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be handled in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the tutoring service operates.
